- Five things you should ask your wedding venue // @spaprcompany We caught up with our Sales Manager, Hollie, to find out what exactly we should be asking our venue so it’s smooth sailing ???????????? 1. What’s included - and what’s not? Ask for a full breakdown of what’s included in your hire fee, from furniture and lighting to staffing and on-the-day coordination. Clarity upfront avoids last-minute surprises and helps you budget realistically. 2. What’s happens if the weather doesn’t go our way? Even if you’re dreaming of an outdoor ceremony, you need to know how the venue handles last-minute changes. Ask to see alternative indoor spaces and how quickly the team can switch things over. 3. How much flexibility do we have? Find out how flexible your venue is with timelines, ceremony styles, food formats and styling. Your venue needs to be aware of (and on-board with) your plans. 4. When can we get access to the space to set up and pack down? Couples often assume they’ll have the venue the day before, but that can’t always be the case. Clarify when set up and breakdown can happen, and whether early access comes at a cost. 5. Who will be looking after us on the day? The person you book with may not be the person running your day. Ask to meet your coordinator in advance, understand their role and make sure you feel confident in their hands. Any other recs? The ‘more is more’ mentality - we’re all about being intentional over excessive when it comes to spending 3. Endless group photos - choose 10 you’d put in a frame and enjoy your day, memories > a million staged shots 4. Being pressured into the day you feel like you ‘should’ have rather than the day you want - plan a day that feels right to you, not one that tradition dictates 4. Having a child-free wedding means you hate children - not at all! It’s simply choosing an atmosphere that feels right for this moment. 5. Picking sides rather than seats - this day is about bringing two lives together 6. - We’re head over heels for H + J // by @rachaelfriendphotography A couple of weeks ago, we had the absolute joy of hosting Hannah and Jamie’s stunning celebration - with our wonderful Annabelle ensuring every detail was looked after to perfection. The day began with a heartfelt ceremony at a church locally to us in Burghclere, before guests made their way to us for a sparkling welcome with limoncello spritz ???? The cocktail hour kept spirits high with strawberry daiquiris and raspberry mojitos, perfectly paired with their stunning floral colour scheme.
