Barn wedding venue near Newbury, Berkshire
Your day,
done your way
The Post is a beautifully modern take on a countryside wedding venue. Our English oak barn brings together slick, contemporary architecture, bespoke design, and a personalised approach to planning - right down to the last detail.
The amount of people who said it was the "best wedding ever" is thanks, in no small part, to the team and beautiful venue.

- With April showers on their way, Hollie’s giving you the low-down on what actually happens if it rains on your wedding day ☔️ 1. Be flexible + prepared: When choosing a venue, it’s important you love the indoor ceremony space as much as you love the outdoor. Talk through plan b with your venue if you’re opting for an outdoor ceremony. 2. Just go with it: If the rain won’t let up, be in the moment, embrace the weather and trust the vision of your photographer. Incredible photos come out of rainy wedding days! 3. Umbrellas (lots of them): Keeping you and your guests from getting soggy. Clear umbrellas are what we recommend (you can get some cool photos with these too!) It’s never the end of the world when it rains, we promise! Suppliers, drop your best rainy wedding day hacks in the comments 🫶

- Hey fellow feminists, need some wedding ideas? Last year our Venue Director @daisybradleyweddings spoke with @rocknrollbridemagazine about smashing the patriarchy whilst saying ‘I do’ (we’ve linked it in our story if you want a read) and it got us thinking about how much more we need to challenge tradition in our industry. This International Women’s Day, we’re sharing some of the ways you can challenge tradition and include your values in your wedding day as a couple. And hey, if you’ve got any more - we’d love to hear them! 🫶
- So you’ve narrowed down your wedding venues and it’s time to start taking a closer look 👀 Here’s what to expect when you book a venue viewing (and the things to keep in mind!) 1. A warm welcome and chatting through all your thoughts, ideas and initial plans. Your venue needs to understand what’s important to you as a couple so they can best advise on what your day could look and feel like. Pssstt - it’s really important you take note on how you feel stepping into the venue and discussing your vision with the team, first impressions can reveal a lot when it comes to deciding later on. 2. You’ll have a tour of the whole venue. Speaking for ourselves, we’ll show you the inside areas of the barn, the dressing room, the gardens, ceremony spaces both outside and in, and highlight any gorgeous photo opportunities. 3. You’ll chat about pricing, packages and what the next steps would look like if you felt this venue was the right one for you. (Remember there are no silly questions, you can ask anything so you feel totally confident in your decision making) 4. If you loved the venue, you may want to place a provisional hold. This may vary from venue to venue, here at The Post we can hold your preferred date for up to two weeks, giving you some time to make your decision and ask any further questions you may have after the viewing. If you’d like to book a viewing with us, we have a handy little tool linked in our bio where you can book online to come and see us 🔗 If you’re not quite there yet, our DMs are always open if you have any questions 💌 — — — Photography: @thekensingtonphotographer @jackaldridgeweddings @jamiefloodphotography @jade.greenbrooke @rolling.film
